This week’s playlist is, as is often the case, centred around jazz – with a more specific focus on international contemporary. Swedish saxophonist Axel Mårdsjö provides Track 1, from our Album of the Week Ett göteborgsporträtt, before some more Nordic jazz: from the Swedish Esbjörn Svensson Trio and the Norwegian Arne Torvik Trio. After a brief showcase of some new tracks we’ve been loving this week, it’s back to Nordic jazz, through the likes of Norwegian outfit Maridalen and more Axel Mårdsjö. We move into a dance and electronic inspired final third, balanced out with some soul, R’n’B and, of course, more jazz. New music this week comes from DARGZ, Loyle Carner, corto.alto, Chaos in the CBD, Parcels, Loaded Honey, and Huntertones. Save, share and listen on Spotify.
